I finally got my blog off the ground, and I figure its time to give credit where credit is due.

I have wanted to start some kind of blog ever since I became a regular reader of Wonkette, but my early attempt at Blogger fell flat. Freelancing left me with a lot of time to find other blogs that I enjoyed reading, and I now have well over 100 blogs on my Netvibes.

One blog that has inspired this one more than any other has been Steve Pavlina's Personal Development for Smart People. Steve, is definitely more motivated than almost any other blogger I can think of, and his advice is always interesting, whether or not I always agree with it. One of the most inspiring posts off of his site for me is 10 Reasons You Should Never Get a Job. I have to admit that reading this now is slightly depressing, but I am sure that Steve would be the first to admit that self employment isn't for everyone at every stage in their life. I am definitely glad I gave it a shot, and I am content at where I am at now.
