This nugget of Jamaican wisdom comes from a much earlier time than the previous post.

Every culture and every language has a collection of proverbs that illustrate some of the collective wisdom that has been passed down for years.

This particular statement sadly illustrates the steep divides that have always existed in Jamaican culture.

Even though we may try to understand those around us that have lived their lives in entirely different circumstances, we will never truly be able to grasp what is like for that other person.

I don't think this means we should stop trying, rather we should re-double our efforts.
