I have been very interested in the Obama campaign since it's beginning. Nevertheless I haven't felt comfortable fully endorsing him until this morning.

Last week I drove two hours to New Hampshire to hear Barack speak. The event was very exciting, being from Kansas I'm more used to single party politics. Despite the excitement I didn't leave the event fully convinced that I could vote for him in confidence.

So what changed my mind? It wasn't a sound bite or policy paper, it was a tiny answer to a question that Obama probably thought would never convince anyone. In an article about the HBO series The Wire there was a line that mentioned that Obama had said it was his favorite show.

After 8 years of a President that becomes confused by the plot of Teletubbies, I can wholeheartedly throw my support behind a candidate that can understand and enjoy the multiple plot lines and nuanced messages of The Wire. This is exactly the kind of person we need in the White House.
